Aku Design 3D was asked to build 4 traditional building such as Chinese Townhouse, Rumah Bumbung Panjang Melaka, Rumah Perabung Lima Perak and also Rumah Tiang 12 of Kelantan that going to be featured in a game that still in the making. The end product that submitted to clients completed 3D working file together with selected texture such as timber, textures for trees also stone. Lighting setting also included.
The concept of the show unit for this new development in Penang is quite straight forward since that exterior already speak the language. But in manner to make more lively, the sense of hipster and young is added, together with the colour scheme selection that try to respond the tropics climate. Using finishes that maybe quite "alien" to us Malaysian for residential such as painted bricks and random cut timber plank, becoming selling point for the development and also new idea of interior for the buyer-to-be.
Tropicana Mansion, before was a luxury bungalow with quite typical tropical concept on the exterior. Belongs to a wealthy Malaysian perfume entrepreneur, the owner decided to have new looks on the inside. Fitting the needs of the owner and also not to moved so far from the exterior existing concept, the interior design approach are try to adapt the concept of CONTEMPORARY GRANDEUR. By the using of classical detailing especially on the cornice, additional column, high ceiling and patterned stone floors. But colour scheme selection are different depending on the moods of each rooms.
The project started in November 2007 during the reign of Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalulail as Yang Dipertuan Agong (Supreme Head) of Malaysia and officially opened in November 2011, just before the 14th Yang Dipertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim were crowned. 5 main areas which is placed at the Main Complex-The Grand Lobby, Balairong Seri (Throne Hall), Bilik Singgahsana Kecil, Banquet Hall Pre-Funtion Area and Arriving Hall were adapting the concept of CLASSICAL GRANDEUR but with the touch of Malay Traditional features especially on the pattern of stone floor (songket pattern), doors design, Throne design and Malay carvings pattern. Some of the lighting were also custom design especially for Balairong Seri and The Grand Lobby that try to used well-known shape and pattern from Malay World such as Bangau Perahu.
One of the grandest building in Johor Bahru is Istana Besar of Johor Bahru, a Colonial-Classical design palace stately sits facing the banks of Selat Tebrau and Singapore. Regarding on Sultan Ibrahim of Johor Crowning Ceremony that were held on 23rd of March 2015, the renovation work started on 2013. The project mainly focused on 2 main area which is Dewan Singgahsana (Throne Hall) and Dewan Santapan (Banquet Hall). The Palace itself already 149 years old, and because of that, the existing Interior Design concept have to be retained. This is include on the concept of Throne design that taken from Buckingham Palace of London with a bit of taste of Islam by featuring the crescent-moon and star on the top of the Throne. The overall main colour scheme were navy blue which is the colour of Johore flag.
Nando's, one of Malaysia respected francais name, started from early 2015 have decided to re-branding. By trying incorporate art and try to bring them close with the public. Nando's in Atria Mall, Petaling Jaya interior design are among the first Nando's outlet in Malaysia that try to incorporate this purpose. The concept is like having your meal within an art gallery. It also featuring African-native motives and colours by featuring custom design pendant light, ceiling features and counter bulkhead pattern.
Cafe on Air Restaurant, Perling Mall, Johor Bahru featuring American barbecue food so the riddle on the concept selection is quite easy-American contemporary with hipster approach, fitting the sit of the restaurant in a well-known shopping Mall in Johor Bahru. The concept can be seen strongly appeared by the using of red bricks, timber lattice ceiling and the selection of furniture.
Most of the interior design work are focussing on the Corporate Level and also Sub-Lobby Level.The design approach are try to imitate American corporate image especially for the Corporate Level by using alot of cherrywood coloured timber for most of the finishes either furniture or built in features. Different on the Sub Lobby Level which featuring more on banking-corporate image by sing of black-granite tiles and alot of steels. Concentration were given highly on the ceiling by trying to imitate the movement of clouds and moon.
